Who We Are

Giorgina Cerutti

 

Giorgina holds a PhD in Translation Studies from the University of Geneva, and works as a freelance translator for several international organizations, such as the United Nations Office in Vienna and the World Trade Organization in Geneva. Currently based in Uruguay, she also serves as an accredited sworn translator (English-Spanish) and assists at the virtual doctoral school ReMeTIS while pursuing her freelance work. When not working, she can often be found running, surfing, writing or reading.

Marie-Hélène Girard

 

While working as in-house translator and running her own freelance business for the past 15 years, Marie-Hélène also completed her PhD at the University of Geneva in 2019. She is now the academic coordinator of the Graduate Diploma in Legal Translation at McGill University as well as a professor in the same program. In her free time, she enjoys running and sailing around the world.

Albert Morales Moreno

 

Holder of a PhD in Applied Linguistics and Language Sciences from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra, in 2022, Albert joined the Open University of Catalonia (Barcelona) as a full-time tenured lecturer and researcher. Since 2008, he has served as a freelance sworn legal translator. Between 2010 and 2022, he held teaching and research positions in Trieste, Venice and Geneva. After a long week at work, he can often be found cooking, jogging, relaxing on the beach or playing board games.

Morgane Bona-Pellissier

Alongside her PhD on institutional legal translation, Morgane also holds a master's degree in legal translation (University of Geneva) as well as in international and comparative law (Université Paris-Panthéon-Assas). She now teaches EN/ES to FR legal translation and will soon leave the European continent to study official bilingualism in Canada and help defend it. Apart from languages (Swedish currently being her main focus), Morgane is also fond of road cycling, hiking and literature.
